Making a vision board helped me get my life back

I lost everything. Looking back though, I never actually felt like I had anything. The greatest thing I found was myself.  Making a vision board helped me get my life back on track.  I wanted to be a man my children would be proud of, and I wanted my own stability.  I wanted to put myself in a place where I would never be financially unstable.  One night, I went down to Family Dollar and bought some construction paper, some glue, and printed up a bunch of things I wanted.  I also bought white board so I could start figuring out how to reach each step and committed myself to my goals.

If it meant personal growth and prosperity, I put it on my vision board.  The more goals I finished on my white board, the more confident I became.  I realized how much confidence I had lost.  I have a unique ability to play through the pain and get the job done right. My own personal sense of initiative came back with every task I completed.  The more things I erased off my board, the more certain I became.  I learned how to love myself and be unapologetic in who I am.  I’ve become a “love me or leave me alone” type of person.

If it meant personal growth and prosperity, I put it on my vision board.

The advice I give to anyone who’s looking to reach their goals is to start making your vision board today.  There are no rules to follow when you’re making your  vision board except to express yourself.  I know that I wouldn’t have got this far had I not taken the time to make one.  No matter how many times I came up short, it kept me fighting to not disappoint myself.  Everything I predicted two years ago, is coming to life.

I’m hosting my first club night since coming back to Colorado, tomorrow.  I was able to buy a gift for my daughter India’s birthday (Happy birthday mama!) I got my radio station back and I completed my social network and new site https://geekstreetsociety.com!

Finally, I’m at a point in life where I focus on my personal while growing my business and fixing my personal life.  I wouldn’t be here without this vision board.  Finding your happiness isn’t the easiest thing but making a vision board is a great way to get the ball rolling.
